Sunset Green Home has selected ATAS International’s standing seam aluminum roofing for the project’s pool house and selected areas of the main house, as well as for the home's gutters and leaders.  We chose aluminum for its rust and weather resistance – a key durability requirement for Sunset Green Home’s coastal location.  The standing seam roofing also allows us to install the project’s solar photovoltaic array without penetrations into the roof deck.

Sunset Green Home will use Decospan's wood veneer products throughout the home.  We have chosen Decospan's Shinnoki for the kitchen, pool house wet bar, and master bath vanities, and Decospan's Querkus for other cabinetry and millwork in the house.  With natural wood faces and stable MDF cores, Shinnoki and Querkus panels are an ideal choice for a coastal environment where material stability is a key to longevity.

Fox Land Surveying has been involved in the Sunset Green Home project since its inception.  David Fox and his team produced Sunset Green Home’s initial survey, depicting the physical features of the site and demarcating Sunset Green Home’s property lines.  Fox has played an integral role in generating the documents needed for Sunset Green Home to obtain sanitary system, environmental and building permits, and plays an ongoing role in revising those documents as project conditions change.

Sunset Green Home has selected Ventgrid12™ as a drainage plane and air gap between the home's natural Western Red Cedar roof shingles and the ZIP System sheathing that creates the home's airtight shell.  Ventgrid will contribute to a longer roof life and lower likelihood of roof leaks and degradation of the shingles and/or sheathing.
